The Algarve is Portugal's sun-soaked southern coast with dramatic cliffs and sandy coves, fishing villages where the daily catch still sets the menu, and a rugged western coastline that pulls surfers from across Europe. It has a reputation for beaches and tourism, but underneath that is something older and quieter. Before explorers sailed into the unknown during Portugal's age of discovery, this was considered the edge of the Earth, and standing on those windswept cliffs, you can still feel why.

About the Hotel

7-night accommodation at Cascade Wellness Resort

We will be staying at the Cascade Wellness Resort, a five-star property perched on the iconic cliffs of Ponta da Piedade in Lagos, with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. This is a place built entirely around the idea of wellness set against some of the most dramatic coastline in Europe. Between practice sessions we will have access to the trails of Ponta da Piedade just steps from the resort, the warmth of the southern Portuguese sun, and the kind of unhurried pace that reminds you what it feels like to actually rest. It is the kind of place that holds you well.

Day 1

Welcome to Algarve, Portugal! After arrival at Faro Airport, you'll meet your guide and be transferred to the hotel. After checking in, enjoy some time to explore before opening circle.

Later, you will meet the group for a welcoming dinner at the hotel.

Day 2

Start your day with yoga + meditation overlooking the Atlantic and a leisurely breakfast. This morning, we will head out on a hike of the famous Fishermen’s Trail. This route starts in Praia da Luz.

Then we follow the Vicentine Route to Casa das Furnas, passing through deserted beaches and hidden corners. This is an easy route with verdant scenery en route to Burgau Village.

Following your hike, enjoy lunch served at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the pool or beach.

Day 3

After your morning wellness activity and breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure in beautiful Lagos. Whether you choose to wander the charming old town, relax on one of the nearby golden-sand beaches, or simply unwind and soak up the coastal views, the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

Day 4

Begin your day with yoga + meditation and breakfast before heading out to explore the Algarve’s stunning coastline from the water on a stand-up paddleboarding adventure, meeting at Praia Dona Ana. Glide along the shoreline and experience the region’s famous caves and rock formations from a truly unique perspective.

After your paddle, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Lagos, followed by time to explore the city’s historic center, where charming streets, local shops, and seaside cafés invite you to slow down and take it all in. Later, you’ll return to the hotel, with the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure to relax, head to the beach, or unwind however you wish. Dinner is on your own this evening.

Day 5

Following your morning yoga and breakfast, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy in Lagos. Whether that means beach time, wandering through town, or simply slowing down and soaking up the Algarve sunshine, today is all about unwinding.

Day 6

After morning yoga followed by breakfast, head to the Bay of Lagos for a scenic sailing experience.

On this shared cruise, sail in the Bay of Lagos and explore some of the most impressive caves and rock formations in southern Portugal. After experiencing this natural beauty from the water, you’ll anchor in a sheltered bay where the crew will prepare and serve lunch. This is the best time to jump in and swim! After lunch, continue the journey to see the famous caves of Ponta da Piedade on a smaller boat. Eventually, you’ll raise the sails again and make your way back up the coast. Feel the magic of sailing as you relax, sip a cocktail/mocktain, and enjoy the sun, sea, and breathtaking views.

In the late afternoon, you’ll return to the hotel before heading out with the group for dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 7

Following yoga and breakfast at the hotel, you will head to one of the liveliest towns in the area where you will have free time to walk around and visit the castle and Loulé Market*. The picturesque market full of fruits and vegetables also offers a variety of crafts. Nowadays, we still find artisans who produce leather articles, delicate works, and beautiful pottery.

Later, over lunch, discover the culture of Portuguese "petiscos", small plates made to taste, appreciate, and share.

*Loulé Market visit must take place on a Saturday and daily activities may be rearranged to accommodate this.

Day 8

Today we’ll have our last practice before leaving the Algarve.

Have breakfast at the hotel and some time to relax before your transfer to the airport.
